  • Gabe The Guardian would be useful in any number of situations. For example:
    • Setting out on an adventure like hiking or biking
    • Walking to school or class
    • Leaving a bar or party
    • Going on a blind date
    • Playing outdoors
    • Going to or from work late at night
    • Traveling to unfamiliar cities
    • Entering a taxi

  • Does Gabe The Guardian contact 9-1-1 services?
  • Gabe does not contact emergency services. If someone is in an emergency, they should contact 9-1-1 immediately.
  • How is the information delivered to the emergency contacts?
  • The information is sent via text message and e-mail.
  • Does the app use the phone's tracking software to automatically alert contacts in case of an emergency?
  • No, the user initiates an emergency alert to contacts by simply pressing the "Emergency" button upon opening the app.
  • If the user is separated from his/her phone after an alert is sent, how can the person be located?
  • The emergency alert will provide information, including a photo and GPS information, to use as a starting point in a search for the individual in distress.
  • If I am in an emergency, wouldn't a text message or phone call be better than using Gabe to let someone know where I am?
  • Not necessarily. A text message does not include GPS information, even if your phone has GPS capabilities. Also, the ability to track a phone call is limited, difficult and extremely time consuming due to the inherent legal process involved.
  • How does Gabe help raise funds for charity?
  • When a nonprofit organization teams up with Gabe, it will receive 15% of the revenues from sales of Gabe whenever that organization's promo code is entered during the registration process of a purchased app. Gabe believes in helping worthy causes, so if you know of a charity that wants to fundraise, please contact us.
